This is my story…it all starts with the roots.
Welcome to a journey of empowerment and vitality! Life is a beautiful gift, and each of us has the potential to live it fully—filled with passion, energy, and joy. However, many face challenges that hinder our ability to unlock this potential. Environmental factors, genetics, and nutritional gaps often hold us back, but I’ve discovered pathways to help you tap into that incredible power, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
My journey began as a general dentist, shaped by my education at Texas A&M and the University of Texas Dental Branch. I loved helping my patients achieve brighter smiles and healthier lives. However, I noticed a troubling pattern: despite my efforts, many continued to struggle with cavities and gum disease. It became clear that I was addressing symptoms instead of underlying causes.
At the same time, I faced a personal challenge. My wife pointed out that my snoring was more than a nuisance—it indicated a deeper issue. After a home sleep test, I learned I had moderate to severe sleep apnea, realizing my body was working overtime while I was supposed to be resting. This revelation sparked a transformation.
In my research, I found that proper breathing is fundamental to overall health. I discovered that correcting underdeveloped upper and lower jaws could help. The roof of the mouth serves as the floor of the nose, so by expanding the jaws, we can also widen the nasal passages, allowing for better oxygen flow and enabling the body to heal itself.
Improved breathing leads to better sleep, enhanced well-being, and a more fulfilling life. Addressing my sleep apnea transformed my nights and energized my days, making me more present and patient for my family—and my wife benefited from better sleep without my snoring!
Through my findings, I’ve identified the root cause of many dental problems: mouth breathing. We are designed to breathe through our noses, and when we don’t, it can lead to cavities and other issues. This insight has transformed my approach to dentistry.
